Fun Things To Do

Edgewater Resort offers many possibilities for you to experience Taylorsville Lake and all we have to offer.  The following services are available Memorial Day through September 22nd and are subject to  change without notice, weather permitting. If you reserve one of our services and the weather is not conducive, you will be refunded if you provide notice to our guest services department and they have verified the information.

A Day on the Lake:

For those interested in the exploring the lake we offer guided trips with a mixture of wildlife viewing, swimming, fishing, hiking or just touring the lake. For an additional fee of $8/person, we will provide a cooler filled with cold drinks and boxed lunch of sandwich and snack.

For the Serious Fishermen:
Licensed Guide to show you the best fishing spots on the lake. The bass boat, rod, reel, bait, and tackle included. 2 people, 5 hours maximum

Guided Hiking Trips

Enjoy a leisurely hike along a wooded stream leading to the lake. As seasons change, marvel at spring's floral abundance, the butterflies of summer, fall's harvest hues among the treetops, and winter's stark beauty.
May through September 22nd, planned guided hike every Saturday beginning at 5pm. Other days and times are available by contacting our Guest Services Department.

Cruises

If you'd like to enjoy a panoramic tour of Taylorsville Lake, Edgewater Resort, offers cruises Memorial Day through September 22nd.

More Outdoor Fun

Many Edgewater guests bike within the resort on the paved areas. However, others explore the surrounding area and for those truly adventurous, the State Park offers over 14 miles of rugged trails around the lake and within the park.

Bonfires

Join us for a complimentary bonfire every Friday and Saturday evening, Memorial Day through October 1st. Enjoy making s'mores and family fun! Subject to change without notice, weather pending.

Scavenger Hunt

For children and young adults visiting the resort for an extended stay we offer an outdoor photo scavenger hunt with tokens and prizes! To insure an element of surprise, we highly recommend advance notice prior to your stay.

We are here to aid our visitors in feeling all the more at home, by offering guests the opportunity to schedule guided hikes, fishing excursions, and pontoon tours. These exciting outdoor activities are just a few more of the services provided at Edgewater Resort. The guided trips will introduce visitors to all the lake offers, interesting local history, and the resort's diverse flora and fauna.
